Kathryn Lovewell is an award winning, international emotional health and wellbeing specialist. She is a passionate Certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher. She has been providing wellbeing training in Education and the community for over 20 years and teaching meditation and self-inquiry since 2006.
For the past decade she has combined meditation, mindful awareness, therapeutic practices and positive psychology to create personal and professional development programmes in person and online, in the UK, USA & Australia. Her mission is to inspire emotional health and wellbeing across the globe.
She has supported children and teens in care, young offenders, students, teachers, senior leaders, corporate executives, professional sportsmen, parents, carers and even prisoners. The extraordinary life-changing results of her Mindful Stress Management programme for men in prison validates the potency of her compassionate methods.
Kathryn is the author of the bestselling book Every Teacher Matters; Inspiring Wellbeing through Mindfulness and co-author of The Positive Edge Journal. She originated the Wellbeing and Mental Health module for Pivotal Education behaviour specialists, plus the Wellbeing and Engagement training programme for Optimus Education. She has written articles for The Huffington Post, The Telegraph, SecEd and other respected organisations such as The Teacher Development Trust, The Education Support Partnership Charity and Teachwire.
Kathryn has spoken at and worked with organisations such as the National Union of Teachers (NUT), the Association of Independent Schools (AIE), the Institute of Education (IOE), the Association for Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) and the Positive Education Schools Association (PESA).
Kathryn maintains a prestigious therapeutic practice at The Inner Journey Clinic in Harley Street, London. She has trained with Kristin Neff PhD, world leading expert in self-compassion (UCSD); and qualified as a Journey™ Practitioner with Brandon Bays, internationally acclaimed mind/body healing expert. She continues to train with leaders in the field of Personal Development and Human Behaviour such as Dr. John Demartini and with the Institute of Positive Education.
She spent many happy years as an enthusiastic Drama and Art teacher in mainstream secondary schools and inspiring adults and young people with differing needs within in the community.
Kathryn is the very proud mum of two gorgeous teenage boys and fervently believes that mindful self-compassion, acts of loving kindness and gratitude are pivotal to mind-health, wellbeing and happiness.
